Hi Everyone!!!

I'm taking a break from blogging about nails right now.  I am going to focus on my son, school, and losing weight instead.  Wish me luck!

Pretty Pastels for Winter

Hi Everyone!  I decided to do a post about pastels in winter time.  There are a couple of things you can do to make pastels more merry for Christmas time.  My favorite thing to do is take a pretty pastel color like a light lavender and take a good glitter like Fairy Dust by China Glaze and apply it as an accent or on all the nails.  When you layer glitter on a pastel color it is reminiscent of snow fairies or a snowy day.  I like to do this because its really simple and pretty.  This manicure could go with anything if you need to dress up.  To be honest, my favorite reason to do manicures like this is because it reminds me of sugar plum fairies and snow fairies.  Picture time!

The first four pictures are Essie Pilates Hottie with China Glaze Fairy Dust and Picture Polish Glitter Ball for an accent nail.

These next four are Essie's Bikini So Teeny with China Glaze Fairy Dust and two coats of Picture Polish Glitter Ball.

Baby Shower Nails

On Saturday I through my friend a baby shower.  She is expecting a little girl and she is super excited, I'm excited for her too especially because she already has three boys!  Anyway I wanted to do something on my nails in celebration of her future daughter.  Her party theme was colors, bright pink and green to be exact.  This is what I came up with.  The pink is Essie Mod Square and the green is Sally Hansen Insta-dri in Lickety-Split Lime.

The sun was really bright when I took the pictures so the colors are really popping.
Hope you guys are having a great weekend!!!

NOTD: Pahlish and Orly

Today and for the past couple of days I have been wearing Orly's Decoded and Pahlish in Sullen Girl.  I didn't know if I was going to like this combination but I did.  I think the blues in the glitter really complement the dark grey.  Originally I was going to use China Glaze Elephant Walk but then I remembered that I had a darker grey and went with that instead.  Sullen Girl is really gorgeous polish.  It has silver and blue holographic hexagonal glitter and some smaller silver glitter.  This polish looks crazy in the sun.  It has really good coverage and covered to my liking in one coat.  Okay now some pics :)

Rave Rave Rave!: Cult Nails Charlatan

Hi Everyone!!!

So I'm super excited because I finally got my hands on some Cult Nails polish and the two I now have are Charlatan and Deception.  Both are top coats from the Deceptive Collection and they are beautiful!  OK.  So Charlatan has changed my life.  I swear I've swatched it on twelve different polishes and it made them all look more beautiful!  I almost can't handle it, its crazy.  I seriously just sit and look at my nails...then I tell my fiance to look at them and then I stare at them some more.

Here is Charlatan over Essie Play Date which is another one of my favorites.  At certain angles it looks like it shimmers a hot pink color and then at other angles its shifts to blue.  Ammmaaaazing....

Purple Gradient Nails

Hi!!! Sorry I have been MIA for a little while.  I wanted to post every other day but life got in the way.  I have been trying different things but I haven't found anything I really like lately.  I do however know that I love the way purple look on me.  That being said, it is correct to assume that I have a lot of purple polishes.  I decided to do a purple gradient with a glass flecky polish on my ring and thumb fingers.  Here it is simple but pretty.

Have a great weekend!

Nails of the Day:Hot Pink Tips! super girly, super glittery

Hey!!! So last night after I was done with my school work I wanted to try doing a french tip manicure.  I was going to do black because its my go to color on my tips but I wanted to try something a little more fun.  I bought Illamasqua Collide a little while ago so I figured why not.

I had seen a couple of different tutorials on Youtube on how to do french tips using an old makeup brush and pure acetone.  I use those to clean up my nails anyway so I went for it and I'm very happy I did.

I used Collide for the tips, then a hot topic polish with stars in it for my thumbs and ring fingers, and lastly a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Have a great weekend!!!
